The Pontifical Council for Social Communications (PCCS) has among its responsibilities the examination of requests for audiovisual accreditation (photo, television, cinema, radio) and the granting of necessary authorization for coverage of ceremonies and places directly dependent upon the Holy See (cfr. “Pastor bonus”, 1988, artt. 169, 170).
The purpose of this website is to offer a more effective and immediate communication with media professionals requiring audiovisual accreditation and to provide information on other areas of concern of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications (PCCS). This site is offered as a complement to the official presence of the PCCS on www.vatican.va.
